Texas Pride.

Texas can be a pretty challenging-ass state at times...
You could come up with a pretty extensive list of things to be ashamed of if you were lucky enough to call this place home... Our gun laws, the execution rate, the quality of our public education, those Simspon sisters... Okay maybe just that Ashlee girl. But then look at all the things we have to be genuinely proud of... We're a fucking GINORMOUS state! Our professional basketball teams kick ass... And now? Well shit... Whut it dew!

The Austin Chronicle today (finally) gave some featured props to the people that are helping make this Texas scene something to be reckoned with. There's been plenty of lit on what's been going on, but people sometimes forget (especially people here in the Cap City) how important folks from the "Other Side" of Texas have been.

Bavu and Baby G get some love in their own feature too... Their new mixtape will be a classic.

Baby G is probably my all time favorite Texas DJ... Ever since he won the 1990 DMC National by channel-to-channelling "hear the drummer get wicked" with his toes...

And then for some reason, Silah Williams' name gets lost in all the hubbub here in this town. It's nice to see him getting some recognition, even if it is a little late...

So Detroit advances. And now so does San Antonio. Come on Dallas. Give 'em Hell.

While you were in Mexico, I gave "Whut it Dew 2" a serious work-out in your Nissan.
