San Francisco in a Day

Yes, we did it. A 24 hour whirl wind tour of San Fancisco.

Our hotel
was right out next to the gates of China Town.
We walked through China Town and North Beach to Washington Square Park.

We continued on foot to Fisherman's Warf and Pier 39.

We took a cable car back to Market Street where we met up with our old roommate Amy. We caught a bite to eat off of Union Square on Maiden Lane, where you can find the world's NASTIEST pigeons. Gnarly.

We hopped back on the cable cars and went sight seeing on Haight and The Mission. We took a break at a local coffee shop (shame on me, I can't remember the name). Then we continued to wander around the neighboorhood.

From there we walked to Tenderloin and had yummy delicious awesomely cheap Indian food at Naan and Curry. Sooooo good. I wish I had some now.

After dinner we headed back to the hotel.

The next day we went shopping again at the Union Street shops in Cow Hollow. We met up with Amy again at Chrissy Park under the Golden Gate Bridge.

And that was that.

More L.A.

City of Angles

This is a beautiful place. The sky, the weather, the mountains, the beach, the sun, the plants, flowers and trees are absolutely beautiful. It would be paradise if there weren't so many damn cars. Unbelievable.

Whoop-Dee-Do

I missed my monthly blog entry, but only by a few days.

Phew, what a month. The garage sale was indeed crappy, but I did make enough dough to go out to dinner and have some cocktails after a hard days work.

It's been a month of ups and downs, highs and lows. You just have to remember to keep your chin up. Things have a weird way of working themselves out.

So, I've got a new pad. We'll it's kinda of new, I grew up in that house. From age two up until freshman year of high school. Speaking of which, my 10 year reunioin is in two weeks. I was afraid I missed the invite. I didn't want to go until I thought that I somehow got dropped off the invitation list. But I did get the invite, and it turns out I can't go. I'll be out of town. Boo -hoo. See, things have a weird way of working things out.

While I was moving, I ended up sorting through a lot of junk that I had kept over the years. School notebooks, notes, course handouts, love letters, notes passed in class. Then I found my senior yearbook. I made my own, because I didn't want to buy one, and I olnly wanted to see the people I remembered liking. I looked through the journal pages with school photos taped in a grid and I thought, maybe I should go to the reunion. Then I read the enties.... page after page of I didn't get to know you very well, but I wish I did comments. So, remind me again why I would go hang out with a bunch of people that didn't know me then, would they even remember me now?

Well, I'll never know.

Crappy Garage Sale

I'm moving. I've been living in the same house for almost six years now. I've had plenty of roomates that have come and gone. Unloaded their stuff and left some behind. Now I'm sorting through the mess they've left me with. I go home every night, have a beer and pack a box. On the weekends I pack anywhere from five to ten boxes. I'm getting closer to being done with the house. But then there's the attic and the garage.

So afer going through all of the stuff I've collected over the years I've discovered that I have a lot of crap that I don't want, so I'm having a Crappy Garage Sale. "Come buy my used crap". I can't imagine I'll profit on this one. It will prolly be a big waste of time. But you never know. Some people like crap.

Blah blah blah

What's up ya'll. I've been distracted the past few months. I've had a lot going on, still do but I guess it's important to update these things if you got 'em.

It's funny, I actually thought of something to write about. But that was last week. Unfortunately it was one of those things where I should have written it right when I thought about it. I still think it's a good topic but I'm not feeling it anymore. It was really a moment where I pinned down my feelings and might have been able to express them in words.

Words.

I ate dinner at Dog Almighty today. Had a corn dog and a lemonade.

My roommate is a teacher. She lets me read some of the essays her students write. I remember writing essays. I secretly want her to give me an essay assignment. I wonder what she would pick for the topic or if she would leave it up to me. She's a good teacher so it would probably be hard.

$1 Tecate's

I met up with my two younger brothers last night for $1 Tecate's at Lavaca Street Bar and Grill. I had a really good time. I hadn't seen them in a while and we don't really hang out unless we are at my mom's house together.

I drank a little to much though. That happens when you only have a credit card, a ten dollar minimum and dollar Tecate's. I wish I could do that on a regular basis. I guess I have to let that go though. I've had my share of drink specials on week night. Let's see if I can remember how it went. Monday was all day happy hour at Trudy's, which worked perfectly when I got out of class at nine p.m. If I didn't have anything due on Tuesday I would drag Ariel to Nasty's with me. Wednesday was free pizza and a pint special at a horse place. Thrusday was salsa night at Miguel's. Friday and Saturday were reserved for parties. So Sunday and Tuesday must have been rest days.

I can't do that much but I will definitely make time for my bros.

PS I just called Mike Jones!
